Andal Science Academy is a unique and outstanding boys’ secondary school designed to provide our students with excellent science education, using the most modern IT instructional methods, within a secure and conducive, first-class boarding environment.
Accommodation is provided in four Halls of residence by the Academy. A healthy Mind and Body are preconditions for effectual learning. At ANDAL SCIENCE we make this our mantra and pledge. Accordingly, each hostel room is air-conditioned and served with a standing fridge, a TV set with DSTV. Sanitation wise, each hostel room is allocated toilet and bathrooms
ANDAL SCIENCE boasts of delectable kitchen menu and hygienically prepared meals. Three luscious meals are prepared daily by professional hands in a standard fully equipped kitchen. The Dining hall, large enough to accommodate our students and more, is also kitted with water dispensers and fridges. Students also enjoy early morning tea as they prepare for classes before breakfast time.
The Academy has provided a central laundry service for students’ uniforms – class and house wears. Specific days are set for the submission of laundry by students.
The Academy operates a fully functional Sick Bay manned by qualified Nurses, where minor ailments and injuries are treated, while serious medical cases are referred to the Government Health Centre next door or to our Referral Hospital in the town. Cost of medical treatment outside the Sick Bay is borne by the parents
The importance of sports in the physical and intellectual development of the mind cannot be over emphasized. At ANDAL we appreciate this and have thus provided standard outdoor and indoor sports facilities for sporting and recreational purposes. These include Basketball court; five aside Football field; Volleyball court; Table Tennis and Snooker.
Competence and , professionalism are our creed at Andal Science Academy. Consequently, we have taken time to employ professionally qualified teachers. Each classroom is air-conditioned with all JSS1-2 students having a Personal Computer on their desks to make learning more conducive while JSS3-SS3 parents provide laptop for their wards. We have also provided modern teaching aids; Internet facility, a Projectors and Desk top Printers in the school. Most importantly, we accommodate only 18 students per classroom. The small number of students per classroom is intended to facilitate easy interaction between the teacher and his students. It also allows the classroom teacher to manage the individual peculiarities of each student. We have the most modern and fully equipped laboratories in Physics, chemistry, Biology, Integrated science and a functional library. The Academy conducts regular inter class competitions, debates and quiz and Quran recitations.
The Academy is connected to the national power supply system and has four (4) Standby generating sets. We equally have adequate water supply from the public water system and from our own three boreholes and two wells.
Looking good is good business they say. A smart looking student always draws the attention of his teachers and peers alike. We not only provide uniforms to students but also mandate them to look trim always. Each student is provided with four sets of uniforms – two sets for classes; two for house wear and one set of sportswear. Aside of uniforms, text books are also provided by the Academy for all subjects to all students. The costs of uniforms, sportswear and text books
are not included in the school fees.
In any group or small society, where people have to live and function together in a safe environment, it is necessary to have common guidelines and rules that all members adhere to.
If you take ill, you are expected to go to the school sick bay for treatment.
The academy pride itself in the maintaining of good discipline. We strongly believe that a child who is not disciplined cannot learn.
General Rules
Any form of bullying is strictly forbidden. Any student found guilty of bullying, whether physical or verbal, will be severally dealt with and could be expelled from the school.
Appropriate school uniform is to be worn at all times.
Students will participate in school games to the satisfaction of their housemasters.
All pocket money must be in the custody of the school Accountant. No student is expected to hold money in the school.
Running, whistling, shouting and unnecessary noises are not allowed within the school premises.
The computer room may only be used under the supervision of a teacher. No student is allowed to bring his personal computer into the computer laboratory. Students are allowed access to the library during their free period. Noise and group discussion is not allowed in the library.
Viewing or being in possession of pornography is against the law. Any student found guilty will be dealt with appropriately.
Students shall not fight or attempt to course bodily harm to another student through physical contact. If a student is attempting to involve another student in a fight, the other student should walk away and report it to a teacher, counselor, or principal. Students who instigate fights will be subject to the same consequence as those who are actually involved in the fighting.
Students shall respect other students, visitors, school employees and other persons by using appropriate language and behavior at all times. Any action which is insulting, abusive, harassing, profane, obscene or seriously disrespectful and which disrupts the learning process for any student or which demeans or degrades another person is specifically prohibited.
Student shall extort through verbal, written or physical threats, coercion or intimidate anything of value from any other students or school employee.
Student shall not lead or participate in any activity that has as its purpose the disruption of school activities.
Students shall not activate any fire or other alarm system unless authorized to do so by school employees or unless there are reasonable grounds to believe that an actual emergency situation exists.
Students shall not possess or conceal or transport any weapon that could cause or that is intended to cause bodily injury or harm to another.

ASA, pass mark start from 50%.
The school reserves the right to hold students records, including report cards, transcripts, testimonials, certificates, transfer records and other formal school documents, in the event that any fess owed that school.
Asides Academic excellent, the school encourages student to discover their talents and interest through the establishment of various clubs in the school. The following club exist in ASA.
Students are encouraged to join at least any one of the mentioned club in the school.
